The State Duma is considering whether to abolish voting “against all” in the Duma elections. It must be said that in the ranks of United Russia themselves, for whom all this, apparently, is being done, the initiative caused confusion. Of course, protest voting spoils the picture, and the elections can be disrupted. On the other hand, protest voices may go to the opposition. It’s like they’ve given you freedom: do whatever you want, as long as it strengthens the omnipotence of the party in power, but it’s still kind of scary.
