Two double: side view

Refuting the confidence of some little -heads and whiners in the indifference of the country's leadership to the most important problems of society, the people's groan reached the ears of the authorities of those in power. Changes in the draft standard for high school, which caused in January and early February, a stormy reaction of teachers, parents and simply caring people. These changes were preceded by the highest intervention of the Prime Minister, who recalled that “ the issues of such a fundamental significance for the future of the country should, of course, should be discussed with the expert community, with the public, and then, maybe some experiments need to be conducted ,” and the response of the Minister of Education and Science, that “ until we come to some kind of decision, there will be quite a lot of time.” It is planned to start the testing of a new educational standard for 10-11 grades no earlier than on September 1, 2013, and in full, updated, taking into account testing, the standard will be implemented from September 1, 2020.

After that, one of the authors of the project and his main propagandist, general director of the publishing house "Education" Alexander Kondakov (his co -author Lyubov Kezin is much less active in this matter) can only justify himself and claim that he was not understood.

What happened is good. It is good that the need for a wide discussion of problems, one way or another affecting the interests of almost all citizens of the country, is recognized. It would seem that this is already obvious, but judging by how the events around the document were at first unfolded, for educational officials this thesis was once again a revelation.

What do we have in the updated project?

Do not flatter yourself, dear readers, we have almost everything the same thing: "The education of a citizen and patriot is more important than mathematics and physics." The whole plentiful cheers-patriotic rhetoric has not gone anywhere, one of the main goals of a high school is still-preparation for service in the armed forces, as well as counteracting the falsifications of the history of our country to the detriment ... Well, you know. These goals are still called upon to serve the inspection in their obligatory OBZh, physical education and mysterious (but, by the way, quite definite) “Russia in the world”. So, despite some change in the letter (which is lower), the spirit of the project remained quite initial. This, in fact, is quite openly recognized. Here is what the official “Russian newspaper” writes about the meeting of the developers of the standard with its critics: “The further the conversation was, the clearer it became: both developers and teachers are on one side of the barricades. It’s just that the language of the document is so official and professional that not everything in it is clear to a simple person. According to Kondakov, now work is underway to "translate" the standard into a clear language for society. " That is, the difficulties of translation, no more. The Excess Contractor, as the main critic aptly remarked.

Nevertheless, smart, in the words of the Strugatsky, are not necessary, the right ones are needed. As Martin Luther claimed almost five centuries ago, "I stand on that and I can’t otherwise."

What has changed?

Since the most intelligible and organized criticism was aimed at a set of optional subjects, hasty changes were made in this section. There will still be no opportunity to study Russian or mathematics in any form of high school students. Thanks to the inclusion in the concept of “selection” of general educational subjects, an interested student now, it seems, can immediately choose physics, chemistry and biology. That is, a number of obvious stupid things adjusted. However, as in a famous joke about spoon, "the sediment remained."

And how can he not stay, the sediment? Indeed, on the very days when the battles of battles at the senior standard sounded, a quiet sapa was accepted by the educational standard for the main school (that is, for 5-9 grades), without any discussions with the public and “experiments of some” and “some experiments” proposed by the national leader. And in it, such a subject area is already legalized for high school as “Fundamentals of the spiritual and moral culture of Russia” (11.4)-we note that even before the end of the experiment to test the course of the foundations of religious cultures and secular ethics and the official summarization of its results. Apparently, this is not a “question of such a fundamental meaning for the future of the country” ...

They - the leaders of the country and their assistants - always know how to correctly. They know much better than us what we and our children need. And they are sincerely upset when we suddenly intervene. Even somehow uncomfortable ...
