
The Golden Bear-the main prize of the 64th Berlin International Film Festival-was awarded to the Chinese director Inan Diao for the thriller "Black Coal, Thin Ice" (Bai Ri Yan Huo).
It tells about a policeman who in the late 1990s is investigating mysterious murders in northern China and falls in love with the suspect.
The Black Coal, Thin Ice, which had rusted in the film, received the main role of Liao Fan for the best acting. The winner of the prize of the best actress was Haru Kuroki (Japan). It is marked for the role in the film "Little House" ( Chiisai Ouchi ) chucks Yamada.
Richard Linklater (USA) for the drama “Boyhood” ( Boyhood ) was awarded the “Silver Bear” for the best directing. The authors of the film "The Crown Path" ( Kreuzweg ) Dietrich and Anna Bruggeman (Germany) were awarded for the best scenario.
The jury of Berlinale was awarded the tragicomedy of the American director Wes Anderson, “Hotel Grand Budapest Hotel ”, which opened the festival on February 6.
Alfred Bauer received Alain Rene (France) for the opening of new ways in cinema, for the film “Love, Drink and Sing” ( Aimer, Boire et Chanter ).
A special prize of the international jury Generation KPlus for the best short film was awarded the painting “My Personal Elk” by the young Russian animator Leonid Shmelkov.
