Fisher
There are not many people who are not only famous in our time, but are a real myth. They seem to be, and, at the same time, to believe in their existence is not so easy. Now Bobby Fisher is already absolutely not with us.
Being on this sinful land, Fisher has always been on its own. And now it is pointless to talk about how he was a person, because no one knows this. It is ridiculous to investigate his words and actions, even analyze his game, because everything that he said and did, how he played has no explanation. That is why Robert Fisher was an unconditional genius.
Perhaps he was not the strongest chess player in history. Someone considers such a kapablank, someone Alekhina, and someone Kasparova. But not a single player in chess for all the time has risen, it is necessary for all his contemporaries so high. But the contemporaries of Fisher were Tal, and Petrosyan, and Spassky, and meanings and many other outstanding Soviet and non -Soviet grandmasters. He was so strong that it seemed to be able to give a session of simultaneous game to all champions at once.
This is not an exaggeration! On the way to the championship crown, Fisher won the quarter -finals and semifinals with Taimanov and Larsen (brilliant masters, great players!) With a common score of 12: 0 !!! He defeated Spassky ahead of schedule, actually giving him a head start at the start of two lost parties when he was lying a fool and scandalized as usual. He reached a rating at that time of 2800 points, and Kasparov needed 20 years to break this record. But in the time of Kasparov, rating points were greatly devalued, and with adjustment to inflation we can say that the Fisherov indicator is not blocked for this time. It is hard to imagine who and when can do it. And it is also difficult to imagine what other heights he would have reached if he had not left chess at 29. And it turned from an incredibly strong athlete and avid scandalist into a man’s man, in the same myth.
He was an unusually smart, hardworking boy, but left school to only play chess and become the youngest in history by a grandmaster. His mother was a Jewish, but he hated Jews as much as possible. He denied the Holocaust, denied Israel's right to exist, he saw in everything that was happening in the world, only Jewish machinations and conspiracies, and all his conversations came down to one thing: Jews, Jews, Jews. He was an American, but few in the world the same number fiercely hated America. He enthusiastically accepted on September 11, abandoned American citizenship, he had: Fuck with respect to his homeland.
He hated his country so that even ... returned to chess! He played in 1992 a match with Spasski, but only because this match was defiantly appointed in Yugoslavia, which was under the sanctions of the UN, and he played for the money of Milosevich. Fisher loved money, traded for each dollar, but at the same time rejected the possibility of earning on advertising. He could be a rich man, but did not dig anything and always said that he was robbed. They robbed everything, everywhere, in everything that everyone should be everywhere and to blame for this “Jewish bastards”.
Nowhere could he find a refuge. He lived in Hungary, in Japan, somewhere else. Ilyumzhinov specifically for Fisher in the Kalmyk Vasyuks was allocated by a chic cottage. But he died in Reykjavik, where he won his historical champion match. In recent years, Bobby Fisher looked very terribly: with a huge cloak of beard, crazy eyes, asymmetric face. He was alone against the whole world, which was still enthusiastic about him and, it seems, was ready to forgive all his abominations.
Frankly, I think Fisher was a sick person. But in addition to the wild shocking, the mania of persecution and mania of greatness, his madness resulted in an exceptional, even “final” understanding of a specific game - games in chess. There are crazy violins or crazy artists - why not be a crazy chess player? He died undefeated, died, considering himself a real, only world champion. He died, leaving behind and completely tangible things, the benefits of which have already been appreciated or appreciated in the future. Perhaps the best book ever written about chess is “My 60 memorable parties”, Fisherov watches (when the player is added for each move made, which avoids frenzied manifold and makes it possible to play normally) and, finally, “Fisher chess”.
It may well be that it is the chess of Fisher that will become chess of the future. Today, the theory with the help of computers is so deeply worked out that almost up to 25 moves in each position is already “all the moves are recorded”. And Fisher proposed to arrange figures not in the usual order before the party, but completely arbitrarily. In this case, you can’t calculate anything, and the number of options becomes just endless. Trinous matches and tournaments began to play this kind of chess slowly, and it is possible that it would be replaced by classical chess. And then Bobby Fisher will become the actual inventor of the game, which existed a thousand years before his birth. This will be the biggest paradox in his paradoxical life, which does not end after the physical death of this person. A person who lived not on Earth, but on 64 cells and lived for 64 years.
