Fan from the belly

There is no doubt that, as a percentage of the total number of people released, the arrests on February 24 were the most widespread in the entire history of Russian protest in recent years. Yesterday’s vintilovo, as they say, “a fan from the belly,” when literally everyone was being shoved into paddy wagons (except infants in strollers), perfectly illustrates the psychological state of the top of our government. In a word, Ukraine made an impression!
We were driven around the city from department to department for three hours until we were brought to Krasnoselsky... And all this time the riot police, with a malicious glint in their eyes, prophesied for us March 19 (that is, arrest). And we somehow reconciled and calmed down. There were 27 of us traveling in the paddy wagon, including some crazy Ukrainian and an unfortunate Belarusian, who was actually going to the station to go home and heard about the “prisoners of Bolotnaya” for the first time in his life. And Zhenya Tretyakova, Petya Tsarkov, Ilya Mishchenko, Oleg Kozyrev and other wonderful people were also traveling with us. And for some time the department also heard Article 19.3...
But then suddenly everything miraculously changed, and the cops began to issue detainees with 20.2 (that is, a fine). Much the same thing happened in many other departments. Do you think some boss decided to suddenly show mercy? Nevermind! It is clear that the initial draconian intention was to close everyone down. But then someone smart suddenly realized that in Moscow it is impossible to arrest several hundred people at the same time under the “administrative rules” - there is simply nowhere to put them...
