A group of 12 American shareholders of an oil company filed a lawsuit in Washington against Russia and a number of energy companies at the end of October, and only now they managed to serve the summons personally on Alexei Kudrin. The lawsuit alleges that the defendants conspired to “nationalize Yukos without compensating the owners of that company.” In total, the lawsuit lists 16 defendants, including the heads of Gazprom and Rosneft and the Minister of Industry and Energy of the Russian Federation Viktor Khristenko.
