On October 24, the Khamovnichesky District Court rejected a complaint against the refusal of the Main Military Prosecutor's Office to consider the issue of rehabilitation of Polish officers.

As lawyer Anna Stavitskaya recalled on Echo of Moscow, the Main Military Prosecutor’s Office considered that there were no grounds for considering the issue of rehabilitation of Polish officers shot by the NKVD in the Katyn Forest in 1940, “since there is no information on the basis of which they could conclude that there were repressions against these people.” And this despite the fact that, according to Stavitskaya, “there is a huge amount of materials from the so-called “Katyn case”, from which it follows that the decision to shoot more than 22 thousand Polish prisoners of war was pleasant.”
