Ilya Gushchin was born in Moscow. Ilya’s mother, Olga, raised her sons alone.
Gushchin grew up in an inquisitive and versatile person. He loves historical literature and play football. He studies at the Moscow City Psychological and Pedagogical University with a degree in Psychology. Now it is on academic vacation for health reasons (head injury + an inoperable cyst). For three years he worked as an analyst at the Moscow football club. According to the former development director of Maxim Motin, Ilya was an active fan, a normal guy who trusted people. “Ilya always had a pronounced civil position. And it is not his fault that on this day the power specially arranged a provocation. And it is not his fault that he could not pass by when the police beat a man, ” writes Motin.

Detained on February 6. The Investigative Committee claims that Ilya grabbed the policeman for clothes, preventing the detention of another rally participant. Investigator Kurdyukov so substantiated the need for arrest: “At one time, the Gushchin traveled by hitchhiking, it is obvious that he could hide from the investigation. In addition, Gushchin is a member of the National Democratic Party, this party criticizes power, which gives reason to think ... ”According to the investigator, Gushchina had sustainable connections in Estonia and Lithuania, although Ilya had never been in the Baltic states.
