The scandal today accompanies many initiatives of the Moscow Patriarchate, whether it is the installation of the monument to Prince Vladimir on the Vorobyovy Mountains or the construction of temples in the green zone. And the venerable Archpriest Dmitry Smirnov contributed to his inflating. But in the fever, the fighters of the Spiritual Front do not notice that they are actually engaged in the propaganda of atheism. The protest movement, like a litmus paper, testifies to this.
In the absence of a real political agenda in Russia, the struggle to preserve the parks became a convenient niche for the so -called opposition politicians. In Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh and other cities, local residents protest against the construction of churches in recreation areas, and regional -level politicians come to their aid.
The most indicative in this sense is the metropolitan park “Peat”, where residents managed to suspend the illegal construction of the church (hearings in the construction case were postponed to July 31). As in the time in the Khimki forest, in the green zone in the north of the capital, the left, and the Communists, and the Yablons appeared. The worldview motifs of the protest sounded in the “peatyanka” quite clearly. They were not reduced only to the statements on the camera of some residents of the microdistrict, that we, they say, are the people of unbelievers and the temple is useless to us here. (Although there were others: we say to believers, we treat all respects, but the law does not allow churches in the parks, and why take a place for walking from people?) The “Help” Foundation , on whose banners, is drawn at the banner of atheism. And although the fund is especially not glowing in public space, its influence on the nature of the protest is noticeable.

Most media, illuminating the conflict, emphasize that this is the confrontation of developers and citizens or, say, fundamentalists and residents of the microdistrict. No, not only, and Alexander Nevzorov constantly flickering in news feeds, when he has a feast of deeper contradictions. “Now everyone sees how priests behave when they get a little power,” he rubs his hands voluptuously. And pronounces the next atheistic agitation .
In general, the atheists of the Putin era, like Nevzorov, are not afraid to resurrect images of a godless five -year plan. Some rehabilitate Stalin, the others of Emelyan Yaroslavsky. It is enough to dial in the search engine “godless” to jump out hundreds of links.
Here, for example, is one of the last news: “An anticlerric action organized by the Union of Militant Atheists was held in Tyumen.” It turns out that about 30 people came to a rally with posters “Church! Hands off the school ”,“ Down with religious censorship! ”,“ Protect children from religious violence ”. And they offered things , in general, the majority of the population are understandable: to limit the school course “Fundamentals of religious cultures and secular ethics” by two modules-“Fundamentals of world religious cultures” and “Fundamentals of secular ethics”; To cancel the law on the protection of religious feelings, to protect art from the intervention of religious fanatics.
It is worth noting that the new atheism has a fairly large social base. According to sociologists, about 20% of Russians call themselves unbelievers. Well, what other 80% of believers are also well known.
Of course, this atheism, despite the loud slogans, does not go with the Soviet comparison with the Soviet. The Soviet atheism, whatever it is called - massive, scientific, state - set himself the task of “withdrawal” of a person from religion, and his main support was an administrative resource. Modern postmodern atheism plays images, image, verbal gestures, and the notorious administrative resource is precisely at the opposite side. So about the forcibly “conclusion” of people from religion, there is no talk of talking yet. But we cannot predict how the postmodern atheism behaves if he begins to determine the ideology. Church top managers should at least think about it.

In the “peatyanka”, perhaps for the first time, atheistic rhetoric breaks into the rostrum, turns into a certain sign of the struggle for democracy. And this should become a certain signal not only for the leadership, but also for all church people. In the case of serious excesses, the Russian Orthodox Church will be extreme, a wave of “popular anger” will hit it with all force, and no high instances will help. So, in this case, it is worth breaking a comedy, breaking into court and with the mouth of a modest girl on behalf of most residents to declare that we, Orthodox, want the temple, and not a step backward, behind Moscow?
Church activists may object to this that the situation is not so simple. That often conflicts around green arrays arise due to showdowns of officials of different levels among themselves, due to a clash of commercial interests. That these same arrays in the light are built up with new Russians, as we see, say, on a stone island in St. Petersburg. And no one will particularly protest. And they protest precisely against the church, and it is precisely those who seek to lower its social status.
Everything is so. But one cannot but admit that the matter does not come down to political technology and construction in green zones is perceived by residents really ambiguously. Somewhere good. For example, in Zyablikovo, in the south of Moscow, next to the ravine and parking of buses, the temple appeared where students of the Orthodox gymnasium and residents of the nearest houses go. Beautiful, conveniently, you do not need to go along the long metro branch to the center. And the community arranged the territory around the church - the lawn, flower beds and all that.
In “Peat and in many other places, the reaction is different. And so, go the wall to the wall? Or casuistically insist on a court decision, although we know something about our legal proceedings? Why are the “Orthodox community” are mainly the “Forty Forters” movement and dashing guys from the “night wolves” who only incite passions? Why do Orthodox believers turn into accomplices of arrogant developers who today make money for churches, and tomorrow on human tears?
The church is not in logs, but in the ribs - we have heard this many times. Well, so you need to show your ribs, your humanity. Otherwise ... "otherwise" we have already passed.
