Absolute logic

Recently, on Facebook (where without him?), We discussed with one of the frands the upbringing of children. “We must do this and so, and then the child will understand everything and will never do bad again,” the friend assured. “But you tried it a hundred times and convinced that the mechanism does not work,” I wondered. “Yes, everything is so, but, probably, you have to try again, and then it will definitely work” ...

My friend is not at all stupid and does not like to engage in meaningless things. But over and over again, he steps on the same rake, trying to make the child do what he should do, -this is logical! Like many other smart people, my friend is sure that logic is the basis of the foundations in this life, and if she is guided, then everything will be fine.

Unfortunately, the world does not want to match the ideas about him of smart people and works out of hand. Beautiful and such logical laws are not fulfilled, people kill each other according to completely stupid and unstable occasions, in the economy one crisis smoothly flows into another and even children do not want to behave as they are prescribed. But smart people are sure that the point is only a lack of education and general knowledge and continue to explain why the laws are good, build new economic theories and pronounce their mistakes with children, punishing the bad and encouraging the good.

And their efforts invariably turn around.

Just because people are by nature alien to logic, and the motives of their actions are irrational. If Homo sapiens are arranged differently, he would replenish a long list of species that could not defend their place on this inhospiting planet. The millennia of evolution has preserved only those creatures that can make decisions based on meager scraps of information.

This information is definitely not enough for an adequate assessment of the situation, and, having had a business analyst in the place of our distant ancestor, he would most likely not have lived a week. Because it is impossible, having heard the rustle of bushes at night in the forest, to understand whether the hare is sitting there or a tiger. It is impossible to evaluate whether you have time to run to a tree before a flock of wolves, in which you stole meat, is catching up with you. It is impossible to find out, poisonous grass or useful, only in appearance and smell. Too few initial data. Any bank who dared to do something on the basis of such a misera of incoming would immediately receive a minimum rating and went bankrupt. This is logical, but completely different rules work in nature.

People survived in a natural selection because they learned to act at random and evaluate the situation only according to the reports that have always been not enough. The side effect of this gift was total irrationality - people almost always act illogically, although they do not notice it. For example, they are ready to go somewhere far in order to save 100 rubles, buying a cup, but they certainly will not do this if they purchase a car. Every day, each of us performs dozens of such small illogicalities. Irrationality controls a person, and therefore strictly verified, logically determined rules and economic models work so poorly. But smart people stubbornly continue to rivet new super -logical laws and explain to children for the hundredth time why it is necessary to do this and not otherwise.
