When Yegor Gaidar actually headed the process of economic reforms, which were then called the “Gaidar”, he was 35 years old. Only 35 years! At this age, many still continue to look for their place in life. And Gaidar already took a place in history. He took him. And the story, of course, will put an epithet “Great” next to the name of this person. But what is it like to do a “great” historical business, realizing that contemporaries will most likely curse you? And I think Gaidar understood this. What is it-to get up first and at thirty-five years to lead the largest country in the world along the road on which this country actually went for the first time! Gaidar had a goal, but the path to this goal was unknown. It was a road in the darkness, the road without a rut - along the virgin lands. The road on which countless pools and mistakes were inevitable. Could he not follow this path? Could. As almost all politicians can and do not go. How our current leaders do not go and do not want to go and do not want to go. Gaidar could go, but not the first to go, remaining in the shade, like most of his associates. This is not a rebuke to them, no. Just Yegor Gaidar made a different choice. He deliberately stood first and went along the unknown path, paths of errors, guaranteed betrayal and curses and not guaranteed gratitude at all. He did not wait for her. Today I don’t even want to read the Internet, because on this day I am not going to swim in shit. Gaidar did not survive to the “bright future” and to the goal that he was striving, also did not reach. He tried to lead the country of centuries -old slavery and universal theft. A country where they did not ask for a fishing rod, but the fish was demanded. Where no one felt the master and did not want to be. Where the initiative was punishable. Where wealth caused envy and anger. Gaidar failed to defeat all this. Our country and our people have not changed much in this sense over the 18 years that have passed since Gaidar "strode in front." But those who now celebrate his death as a holiday do not even think that Gaidar saved them from hunger. A country that has been starving for centuries, which, in principle, has always been starving at all, has been a well -fed country for almost two decades. And the story will still put the right epithets next to the name Gaidar.
