However, in the evening, the Basmanny court again “changed the testimony”, and still Natalya Romanova said that Judge Valentina Levashova considered two petitions and froze the assets of both brothers.
It is worth recalling that in December 2012, the oppositionist, the ex-candidate of the Moscow mayor Alexei Navalny and his younger brother Oleg, was officially charged with fraud and laundering. At the end of October this year, the investigation charged the final edition.
According to investigators, the Navalny brothers stole more than 26 million rubles from Yves Rocher Vostok and 4 million from a multidisciplinary processing company. Investigators claim that they also discovered a similar scheme in the case of an “interregional processing company”. According to the TFR, in 2008, Oleg Navalny convinced the MPC to conclude contracts with his company for the transportation services of receipts, forms and other printed materials. According to the first episode, the brothers face up to 10 years in prison, in the second - up to five.
Despite all the anecdotism of the situation, the case can take an unpleasant turn. However, journalist Julia Latynina is not inclined to dramatize the situation. She sees in the actions of the investigating authorities the goal of making the life of the bulk as unpleasant as possible, to distract him from other things: “I think that the arrogance and stupidity of our Investigative Committee are inexhaustible. It is clear that they are trying to create any headache for Navalny, but they are a little afraid to plant it, because they understand that as soon as they put him, he will turn into a martyr and Putin will already have a big headache. Therefore, they want to make it so that he would be as worse as possible and that he doesn’t think about anything, except how to buy stockings for children and how many interrogations in the Investigative Committee have it tomorrow - but formally, freedom would not have been deprived of freedom. ”
