Roman Rudakov's colleague Maxim Lomonin, found guilty of violating statutory relations between military personnel, received three years. The court found him guilty of beating Rudakov, but did not find an investigative-causal connection between “hazing” and the fact that the young man remained disabled after the army. The Committee of Soldiers' Mothers of St. Petersburg is confident that several crimes were committed against Rudakov: illegal conscription into the army, failure to provide medical care, concealment of information.
