I do not like the Olympic Games. On the example of the Olympic movement, as in the example of the World Bank, you can study the processes of the degeneration of the bureaucracy, because any bureaucracy begins with kumin, and ends with corruption.

I consider it unworthy and stupid that in the 21st century the competitions in mathematics or physics are not advertised as a person’s achievements, but a jump in jumping or running. A person still does not jump further than the tiger and will not run faster than ostrich.

This hypocrisy is to declare that “amateurs” compete at the Olympics. Why on earth? Athletes participating in the Olympics train 8 hours a day. But this hypocrisy is what generates the omnipotence of the Olympic bureaucracy. If the athletes were professionals, like acrobats or juggles, they would receive money from their profession. The status of a “amateur” means that the money earned by their then and health is received by the Olympic bureaucracy.

Why do the Olympic sports include rhythmic and sports gymnastics, but no air gymnastics or rope walking are included? Is air gymnastics really a less spectacular sport than Kerling? Now at the Winter Olympiad there are twice as many awards than half a century ago. Why? Because, as medals increase, budgets mastered by officials increase. And whether those sports that are included in the program are watching, for officials the tenth business.

Is the Olympic bureaucracy biased and corrupt? Of course, yes. Otherwise, Russia would never have received the right to the Olympics in Sochi.

And how the problem of delivering spectators from the coast to the mountains will be solved is still incomprehensible.

What is the most striking in Russia's losing at the Olympics is the inability to achieve even those goals that he sets to himself quite sincerely.

Among our rivals there is no country where sports officials would enjoy such the highest grace where they would sit so close to the body, where they would bent the whole business of the country under the pretext of the need for Olympic victories. The National Olympic Committee is headed by Leonid Tyagachev, the President’s personal coach for skiing. In what Norway or Sweden for the august coach is built and built - routes, slides, complexes - Gazprom, Potanin, Sistema?

The volume of money - extiliated, shaken, voluntarily given (but take volleyball, but take on mountain skis, put up a word for me), money that went to vodka, caviar, to rent a Russian house, to travel to the Olympiad with all the dogs, jesting and reaching - it is not amenable to calculus. And what? And where? It turned out that there are not enough vodka and jesters-you should still run and jump sometimes.
