It seems that the reign of the glorious mayor of Khimki, Vladimir Strelchenko, who became famous for his war for the Moscow-St. Petersburg highway against the defenders of the Khimki forest and local journalists, has also ended. Strelchenko’s opponents were repeatedly attacked - in particular, the former editor-in-chief of the Khimkinskaya Pravda newspaper Mikhail Beketov, who became disabled after a severe beating, as well as Khimkinskaya Pravda activist Konstantin Fetisov.

It is reported that Strelchenko decided to leave after a conversation with the governor of the Moscow region, Sergei Shoigu.

This is not the first resignation in the Moscow region in recent days. Earlier it became known about the resignation of the head of the Balashikha administration, Vladimir Samodelov.
