And again death in a pre-trial detention center

The director of Moscow school No. 1308, Andrei Kudoyarov, who was accused of extortion for enrolling a child in first grade, died in pre-trial detention center No. 3. Death occurred on October 8, according to preliminary data - from myocardial infarction. Kudoyarov's relatives were informed of his death only on the third day.

According to the investigation, as reported by Kommersant, the director demanded 240 thousand rubles from the head of one of the capital’s construction companies, Evgeniy Levin, for admitting his son to the first grade of school. On May 20, Kudoyarov was detained and the next day arrested by decision of the judge of the Nikulinsky District Court, Pyotr Maltsev, on the recommendation of the investigator of the Investigative Committee department for the same district, Pavel Kuznetsov.

At the same time, parents of school students believe that Kudoyarov was framed. Activists of the parent committee claim that the money that was found in his possession was not a bribe, but a contribution to the school development fund. Kudoyarov's lawyer Alexander Manov states that Evgeny Levin made this contribution voluntarily when his son was already enrolled.

According to the director's defense, prison doctors are primarily to blame for his death, but they also want to hold investigators, prosecutors and judges accountable. Kudoyarov had chronic heart disease and second-degree hypertension, and investigator Kuznetsov, as well as the judges who authorized and extended the director’s arrest, knew about this.

Andrei Manov told Kommersant that at the last meeting in the Moscow City Court, where Kudoyarov’s detention was once again recognized as legal, the defense lawyers “directly warned the presiding judge Marina Komarova that Andrei could die the same way as Magnitsky, and then she would be ashamed . But in response they heard that she was not ashamed of her decisions.”

Well, we have to admit that the tragic story of the death of lawyer Sergei Magnitsky in a pre-trial detention center did not teach anything to the prison authorities, investigators, prosecutors, or judges. Moreover, we are talking not only about the fact that they barbarously ignore the presence of serious illnesses in a person, but also about the fact that they continue to use arrest as a standard preventive measure, including in the case of economic crimes. And if in the story with Magnitsky, if desired, one can see something like revenge from the security forces for an attempt to expose their machinations, then in the case of Kudoyarov, apparently, there is simply a stupid desire to punish, using more opportunities. And the fact that a person may not be guilty at all does not seem to occur to anyone at all.
