Activist of the Khimki branch of the Right Cause party Konstantin Fetisov was brutally beaten near his own home on the evening of November 4. He was hit on the head with a baseball bat, the left side of his skull was crushed, and a fracture of the base of the skull was discovered. A bat was found at the scene, broken in half. The police did not arrive at the scene for six hours. When Fetisov’s wife turned to the duty station, they answered her: “Well, what do you want from us?” He is currently in the hospital, undergoing surgery and being put into an induced coma because, according to doctors, he begins to behave aggressively when he regains consciousness. Doctors assess Fetisov's condition as very serious. He will remain in an induced coma for another two weeks.
Fetisov supported the defenders of the Khimki Forest. On November 3, he held a picket in front of the solid waste dump in Khimki. On the afternoon of November 4, he was spotted at the nationalist “Russian March” in Lyublino - it cannot be ruled out that he was “led” from there.
This is the second attack on Fetisov in two months - on September 18 in Bratsevo, an unknown person hit him in the jaw, causing the activist to lose consciousness.
Another victim of attacks on active people in Khimki is well known - journalist Mikhail Beketov, editor-in-chief of the newspaper Khimkinskaya Pravda, who criticized local authorities, including in connection with the construction of a highway through the Khimki forest, was brutally beaten in November 2008: As a result, his leg and fingers were amputated, and he can hardly speak.
