Against the pogrom

What happened to the Khimki administration is a very important and very sad event. I know that those who arranged a pogrom have a lot of sympathetic now. And the arguments are well known, they say, the authorities got us, brought people to the pen, beat us, and we must endure? This is the same as sympathy for the so -called coastal partisans who were just bandits, but under beautiful slogans. However, there were no special slogans. It was just a rumor that these people are specifically exterminated by cops, because cops drink folk blood. And this turned out to be enough for the people in the vast majority to support the extermination of the first police officers who came across, only because they are police officers, which means all to one scum.

Now citizens are ready to support the defeat of the city administration, apparently, because the officials are also scum and, except to shoot them and burn them, nothing else remains. Now tell me how we will fundamentally differ from brutal cops or bureaucrats-boards, if we support pogroms? What will we be better than them? I’m not talking about any fundamental things, for example, that it’s not good to kill, to spoil someone else's property is bad, to hooligan is uncultural. But the conversation, as I understand it, is not about what is good and what is bad, but that since we got everything, since we have brought us to a pen, then everything is allowed to us. And so I ask again what we are better?

A policeman can beat anyone, can shoot in a store, torture, rob, trade in drugs. But as soon as we begin to beat all the cops in a row, we will, thereby, act on their own methods - so what are we better?

Does the authorities steal? The authorities do not care about the people? Surely! But if the people throw Molotov cocktail and shoots indiscriminately - what is it better?

And of course, the pogrom in Khimki changes the picture of the battle for the Khimkinsky forest. Until now, the truth was on the side of the ecologists who defended this forest. And the longer the struggle went, the more sympathy these people conquered. Because their protest was active, but peaceful. The cops were exposed against them, they hired provocateurs and hooligans, but the defenders of the forest each time became more and more, they attracted the attention of the whole country, the Public Chamber was already on their side.

There was little chance of defending the forest, but its defenders behaved with dignity. I am sure that they are not related to the organization of pogrom. But since it was under the slogan of forest protection, the authorities now have a great reason to carry out total cleaning. To call ecologists not just unauthorized by protesting, but by hooligans, even extremists. Here, even before the attempt to violent seizure of power is nearby!

I do not think that all means are good to achieve even a noble goal. I am sure that it is impossible to create civil society by violently. There are many comrades who will be happy to wave their fists, and will not refuse to do this under "democratic slogans." But this is not the good that should be with fists. Acting by hooligan methods, only hooligans, but not decent people can be involved to their side.
