Very gray cardinals

The website km.ru has launched a campaign to expose enemies of the people. No jokes and no quotes. “You need to know the enemy by sight... We decided to collect “dossiers”... both on “private” individuals and on entire groups of ideological saboteurs. We will try to bring them all into the open, exposing the lies and deceit of their plans,” a special editorial preface explains the tasks of the new section “Demolitionists.”

In itself, such an approach - discrediting opponents - is, to put it mildly, not new. True, it is usually used when there is nothing to object to on the substance of the disagreement, but this is the usual state of the direction of social thought from the position of which this Internet resource advocates. Another surprising thing is the choice of the first target for exposure. It would be logical to expect that this would be a liberal politician, a human rights activist, a journalist, or, at worst, some disgraced oligarch. However, the honor of opening the gallery of “subversives” (the word “pests”, apparently, still somehow confuses truth-tellers) was given to the scientist - famous demographer and sociologist, head of the Center for Demography and Human Ecology at the Institute of Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Anatoly Vishnevsky. The meaning of the lengthy text posted on the site – almost the length of the author’s page – boils down to the fact that it is because of this person that Russia is dying out.

It turns out that Vishnevsky is the eminence grise of Russian demographic policy. It is he who, using his influence on government officials, blocks their adoption of effective measures to improve the demographic situation in the country, thereby ensuring the unhindered genocide of the Russian people in accordance with the plans of the West. The leader of the column, Yuri Filatov, and those who “prepared” the text (what this means is unknown, but no other names are given, so we will have to consider them the authors) Alexey Orlov and Alexander Pugachenko took the trouble to consider the fabrications of the “provocateur” (as in the text ) and refute each of them with facts.

Let's see how they do it. In order not to go far, let's start with the first one:

"1. Vishnevsky’s negative idea: The inevitability of a significant decrease in the indigenous population of Russia, primarily Russians. Goal: To force people to come to terms with the problem, to refuse to even think about possible ways to radically improve the situation. What is achieved: Constant endless repetitions of the thesis: what is happening in Russia is natural, normal. This meets global trends. Comparisons are made only with disadvantaged European countries, as well as with those “civilized” states where there really is a low birth rate. Comparisons with demographically prosperous countries are deliberately avoided...”

So, the ideological saboteur has been caught red-handed, his method of poisoning minds has been exposed. All that remains is to deliver the final blow: to name those “demographically successful countries” whose achievements were so carefully hidden from us. But it is here that the brave accusers, for some unknown reason, fall silent.

Well, let's do it for them - let's name the countries where the birth rate and population growth are the highest: Angola, Congo, Mali, Somalia, Uganda, Niger... The society, needless to say, is select: not even a single moderately developed country - only the poorest! Indeed, why should we compare to the decaying Switzerland and Japan? True patriots are able to show the power more worthy guidelines.

Maybe, of course, they wanted to name some completely different countries, where high birth rates are combined with rapid economic growth and the well-being of the majority of residents. But in order to find these “other countries”, you need another globe - they don’t live on the existing one.

However, we have forgotten - Russia does not need examples, it has a special path. And now they will show it to us. Bypassing the “Statements in the Media” section, we go straight to the recipe:

“What is the real state of affairs: Any person, even a very young one, who has the concept of completing a project (any one), also has the concept that the most important element in solving any practical problem is resources. Briefly it can be formulated this way: every problem has a solution. The only question is the sufficiency of resources and the presence of a desire to solve this problem...” Then a few words about what resources are and how important it is not to let yourself be confused by all sorts of Vishnevskys - and here is the final solution to the Russian question: “That is, the question should be posed like this : Do you want the indigenous population of Russia not to decrease by a million people a year? Then this solution will cost you $3 billion a year. Do you want the indigenous population to increase by 1 million per year? Then the price of the issue is 10 billion dollars a year. Do you want 2 million to arrive? Well then you need 30 billion a year (the relationship, of course, is nonlinear).” Briefly and clearly: give more money and don’t let those who might ask where we are going to spend it come close. And how we will raise the birth rate with these dollars is a military secret, we won’t tell you, and you, the damned ones, will never guess...

For reference: beautiful France, which began a policy of promoting the birth rate more than a century ago, now spends not 3 or 30, but about 50 billion dollars a year for these purposes. During this time, the number of children born to the average French woman in her lifetime fell from 3 to 1.8 - i.e. below the replacement level. The only consolation is that in France this figure is still higher than in neighboring countries. True, evil tongues claim that this is not ensured by astronomical payments, but by the high proportion of “first-generation French” - immigrants from Arab and African countries. In any case, in the Scandinavian countries, where expenditures for these purposes are not inferior to those of France, but the share of migrants in the population is small, the birth rate is consistently low even by European standards. Swedish scientists have published a special study showing how every major step by the state aimed at supporting family and motherhood was followed by another decline in the birth rate.

Let's not look down on France: it was the first to face the fact that natural population growth was heading towards zero, and it was very scary. (Currently, the official goal of the system of benefits and payments to families is considered not to “stimulate the birth rate”, but to “even out the chances” of children from different social strata.) But it is characteristic that over the past hundred years since then, “bearers of a unique worldview and ethnocultural characteristics” have become so and did not develop any new considerations in this regard. Just like in the famous joke: “What’s there to think about – you need to shake it!”

This, by the way, explains why the “exposure” campaign was started with a scientist. In fact, it is possible to seize government bodies, the media, and profitable businesses. But you can’t capture knowledge—scientific theories and concepts can only be contrasted with other, more convincing ones. And when they are not there and there is nowhere for them to come from, all that remains is to discredit the carriers of knowledge. “We trust the “authorities” without realizing... that these “experts” can be enemies and carry out orders, deliberately misleading, creating false goals and hiding the true paths,” says the initial part of the printed denunciation, formulating the general goals of the campaign .

However, haven't we paid too much attention to this anonymous letter? The reputation of the km.ru website has long been known, and the only way to discuss it is through lawyers in court. In the end, for every outburst of envious ignorance you cannot get well.

But there is one more interesting detail. The pogrom article appeared on the website on May 6. And four days later, the head of state delivered a message to the Federal Assembly, one of the main topics of which was demographic policy. Its main component, according to Mr. Putin, should be precisely “stimulating the birth rate” - a chimera that has never borne any fruit anywhere, but has successfully absorbed huge amounts of money.

Such proposals in the mouths of politicians are not uncommon, but usually they indicate deep ignorance of their authors in the issue under discussion. In this case, however, we know for sure that this is not the case. In the barrel of lies splashed out by a nationally concerned site, there is a small drop of truth: Anatoly Grigorievich Vishnevsky really used his status (including the position of a member of the scientific council under the Security Council of the Russian Federation) in order to familiarize the head of state with the demographic situation in the country and its possibilities improve. But, as the presidential message shows, his interlocutor remained with a different opinion - one that amazingly closely coincides with the opinion of the hunters of the enemies of the people.

So, I’m afraid that Putin’s demographic policy is not dictated by Vishnevsky, but by some other “gray cardinal.” Pale grey.
