Arrest for music

Rapper Noize MC (aka Ivan Alekseev), who became famous after the song “Mercedes”, dedicated to the accident on Leninsky Prospekt involving the car of LUKOIL vice-president Anatoly Barkov, was arrested for 10 days in Volgograd. This happened due to a conflict with the police - the law enforcement officers did not like the fact that the drummer of the rapper’s group began to collect money in a cap from visitors to a concert on July 31 at the Urbania open-air festival (at that time the song “Babki in a Hat” was being performed). The police demanded to stop begging. Alekseev responded by saying into the microphone: “I’m glad to tell you that this is the first city where animals with red cockades tell us that during the song “Grandma in a Hat” we are begging. I am glad to tell you that this is one of the few cities where we remember the song “Smoke Bamboo” - which is a song about the police, where, in particular, they say “Citizen, stop stop; on the pockets - clap-clap, on the kidneys - knock-knock, and smoke bamboo, friend! ”, and performed. After that, he uttered a rhymed, rhythmic, improvised text (rappers call this a freestyle) addressed to the police. The freestyle began with the words “it’s so cool when I do this verse / they act like it’s not about them.” In the evening of the same day, Alekseev was detained, and he was immediately offered to spend the night in the department in order to meet with the head of the Volgograd police department in the morning, and then he was taken to a cell, from which he never came out. On August 2, the court sentenced him to ten days of administrative arrest for petty hooliganism.

Four days ago, Alekseev’s son was born, his wife and child are in the maternity hospital. The court was sent a corresponding certificate, but this circumstance was not considered a mitigating factor. Now you can’t rap about the police if it contains criticism.
