Wine developers are going to port their program to Android. A test version of the project was presented at the FOSDEM conference.

The developers of the famous Windows emulator for Mac OS and UNIX announced the porting of their program to the Android OS. Alexandre Julliard, one of the creators of Wine, demonstrated the capabilities of the test version of the application at a conference in Brussels.
As eyewitnesses note, the program is still very slow, but this can be explained by the fact that Alexander was running Wine on an Android emulator for Mac OS. Juilliard promised to correct all the shortcomings of the program before its release, but Alexander has not yet announced a release date.
Wine developers prefer to call the program not a Windows emulator, but an alternative implementation of the Windows API. The program is distributed as open source. Wine's history dates back to 1993, when Bob Amstadt created a program to run Windows 3.1 applications on Linux.
Well, now I can install Internet Explorer on my smartphone,
