After the sentencing of Sergeant Sivyakov, who mocked private Andrei Sychev, it was expected that a guilty verdict would be pronounced against the three officers who allowed the tragedy to occur. The investigation was unable to establish a cause-and-effect relationship between the inaction of the commanders and the consequences that occurred to their subordinates. The judges considered closure of the cases to be the most reasonable way out of the situation. In the meantime, the prosecutor's office is going to bring to justice those who testified against Sivyakov and then retracted them, saying that they were under pressure.
