The earthquake that occurred in the Sea of ​​Okhotsk on Friday at about ten in the morning Moscow time swept across the country. Even Moscow found itself in a zone of seismic activity. Calls to the Ministry of Emergency Situations about an alarming natural phenomenon, as a result of which the water in aquariums began to ripple and furniture began to shake, came from Taganka and from the area of ​​Pyatnitskaya Street, residents were even evacuated from Lesnaya. However, many in the capital did not notice that the elements were raging beneath them. The same cannot be said about Siberian cities - both in Tomsk and Krasnoyarsk chandeliers were swinging in the houses. According to the US Geological Survey, the force of the tremors in the Sea of ​​Okhotsk slightly exceeded magnitude eight. There was no tsunami on the coast, but the alarm was declared on Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands. In Siberia, the strength of the tremors ranged from three to four, and in Moscow only one. Scientists claim that there is nothing unusual in this natural phenomenon, but at the same time they state that such a nuisance last happened in the capital in 1977.

Surely there will be superstitious people who will begin to interpret this manifestation of the underground element in different ways, see it as a sign, and consider the earthquake in Moscow a harbinger of social storms and upheavals.
