Dear editors!
I write these lines at the very end of autumn, when winter is about to come. Winter is the most calm season of the year, when the ice fetters rivers and snow covers the land when too restless minds find temporary reassurance when everyone is handing over annual reports. The blessed time of labor and worries, from which only the stream of New Year's corporate parties and, in general, the drunken festive drunkenness in the period from Catholic Christmas to the old New Year is slightly knocked out.
The mind, feelings and desires of our person in winter are constrained by frost, long night, fatigue and alcohol abundantly consumed. Brief and cloudy light days are not able to arouse interest in us in excessive and stupid activity. We become more rational, boring and businesslike in the period between December 1 and 25, and then we live in a sense of miracle. Therefore, if the main poet of Russia was sweet “dull time, charming,” then I am a mile of a “gray -haired winter threat”.
The reassurance of the rebellious human and office souls is never felt as acutely as in the period from January 8 to 14: neither the increase in prices and taxes, nor the demolition of the leaders of the opposition that is fed by the West at this time raised a response in the soul of a Russian person and a citizen.
Let's look back a little back. In the summer, after the case of Golunov and before the elections to the Moscow City Duma, Moscow was noisy. In August, in the foreboding of the exacerbation season, the scientific community was agitated: it is impossible to communicate with foreigners without writing a report, they want to destroy the RFFF. In the fall, of course, the excitement reached the climax: Dissernet exposed unworthy candidates for the academy, scientists were indignant at the Fiana, and university workers discussed the sharply increased official and creative potential of the middle -aged rectors of leading universities.
But autumn passes, and when you, dear colleagues, will read this letter, December will already be in the yard. Winter will spread its wings over the country. And I would like this to happen not only in the sense of establishing a certain season, but also in the symbolic sense. Winter is not only the time of the celebration of cold and darkness, but also the time of New Year's miracles, the distribution of gifts and - for believers - Christmas. New Year is a holiday of eternal renewal, hopes that everything bad will leave and only all good will remain, led by Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.
Actually, it is precisely our national leader that I see in the role of the great Santa Claus, freezing our ripe country, sending the waves of administrative cold to gurgling muddy opposition swamps and various unbalanced professional communities. In general, using medical analogies that applies cold to sick places. All thawing foreign influences are frozen, the country is fenced off from them with a snow curtain. Our society, unhealthy and washing, gradually flows into a fruitful winter hibernation, lullified by radio and television. Irja covers various kinds of windows abroad.
The fever passes, and society sees excellent dreams about a calm and happy life that will definitely come if you continue to endure individual shortcomings and work calmly. Elves from the presidential administration are sent to the regions of deer with gifts in the Russian Guard, gnomes in civilian clothes are dealt with with a terrorist underground. Great vision!
And, I believe, in our troubled community everything will slowly improve. Contacts with foreigners, mass grants of the RFFIF, the fight against plagiarism, protests against the actions of the security forces, age -related restrictions for the authorities - all this unhealthy overseas moth will pass, will dissolve in healthy cold air.
I feel that a beautiful long winter will come, which will allow our people, exhausted in the 20th century by revolutions, wars and cataclysms, to sleep and gain strength for new achievements, for the construction of new beautiful Russia. The great country needs not great shocks, but a good, deep dream that will allow her to recover.
You will say that I give out what I wish to be valid, that spring will come anyway and the ice will melt, and from under the snow all the dirt accumulated over the winter will appear? I don’t know, I don’t know, I hope that this will happen very soon, not in my century.
Calm and fruitful to us winter, dear colleagues!
Your Ivan Ekonomov
