The interrogation went well. It lasted four hours, although most of the time was spent refining the wording while familiarizing oneself with the protocol. The questions were sometimes strange, but apparently the interrogator should ask such questions. For example, “Did you realize that you were violating a person’s presumption of innocence when you alleged his involvement in a crime?” The question itself is such that the answer can only be “no,” because it’s not that I didn’t realize it, I just didn’t say it: the message of all my words was different, and the presumption of innocence and the corresponding article of the Constitution to what I said , has no relation. I have to explain every time that I spoke about the political responsibility of Ramzan Kadyrov, this is beyond doubt for me, the whole range of documents confirms this. And I also said that involvement should be considered as one of the serious versions. But I never claimed that there is direct involvement. We have to repeat this all the time in different forms.
The main thing is that two of our requests were granted: for the interrogation of witnesses on the part of the defense and for the inclusion of a large complex of materials and documents in the criminal case, including a recording from Chechen television, where, very importantly, different officials - both Kadyrov and many his subordinates make certain statements, talking about their work, which very clearly characterize the real state of affairs in the Chechen Republic, the responsibility of the authorities of the Chechen Republic for creating an atmosphere of lawlessness and impunity there, as well as the difficult situation of non-governmental organizations.
I, like Henry Markovich, believe that this case does not and cannot have any legal prospects, if decided according to the rules of law, this case cannot even be brought to court, it will fall apart - simply because the existence of the crime that they I'm being accused. But since in Russia very often decisions are made not on the basis of legal norms, but in contradiction with them, you can, of course, expect anything. But it was, in my opinion, a rather stupid decision to even initiate a criminal case.
No preventive measures have been taken against me.
