As soon as the president raised the issue of road safety at a meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Russian Federation, his subordinates rushed to carry out his instructions. Today, the Moscow State Traffic Safety Inspectorate issued an order according to which self-taught drivers who have not passed through driving schools will now be issued licenses only in two capital MREOs. And the head of the Russian State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, Viktor Kiryanov, as a preventive measure, proposed punishing driving schools whose graduates are more likely to get into accidents than others.
