Responsible for everything

The bill, which the government plans to submit to the State Duma on Thursday, proposes to tighten the liability of officials who, through their actions or inaction, contributed to the terrorist attack. Governors face the most serious sanctions: after the amendments are adopted, they can be removed from the leadership of the region on any charge. Only an attempt to establish justice in this way is more like a search for a “scapegoat.” The governor was fired, and the culprit of all the troubles can no longer be looked for.
