Support a stranger

On July 13 at 19.00 on Chistye Prudy, at the monument to Griboedov, an action for the release and in support of Sergei Mokhnatkin, a man who became a victim of the police on December 31, 2009, will begin. He was not a participant in the action of defenders of Article 31 of the Constitution, he was simply passing by - he was going home, getting ready to celebrate the New Year with his family. However, seeing how the police were roughly dragging the woman, he found it impossible not to intervene. As a result, Mokhnitkin was accused of assaulting a law enforcement officer and sentenced to two and a half years in prison. At the end of July, a cassation appeal against Mokhnatkin’s sentence will be considered. The organizers of the action consider Makhnatkin innocent; in their opinion, Mokhnatkin is a man who, without exaggeration, is now in jail for everyone who supports Strategy-31.
