Four diplomats were kidnapped in Iraq on Saturday, and another Russian embassy employee was killed. There is no news from the kidnappers - the secret services are considering kidnapping for ransom as the main version. At the same time, the media is full of speculation: they say that the kidnapping is an American response to Russia’s “inconvenient” policy in Iraq. Another version is that all this is the machinations of the Iranian special services: then they should soon announce that “at the cost of enormous efforts made by Iranian diplomacy, the abducted Russians have been released.”
