Yabloko is vigorously fighting A Just Russia. Having achieved the exclusion of the “defector” Galina Khovanskaya from the Moscow election list of this party, the Yabloko members, following the Right Russia Party, are trying to win over the older electorate, attracting pensioners to the banner. Over the weekend, an agreement was signed to join Yabloko with the Older Generation movement, which once broke away from the Russian Party of Pensioners due to its reluctance to join A Just Russia.
Of course, attracting a diverse electorate is important and necessary, but prudence in this matter is also important and necessary. The last action of the “Older Generation” was the participation of pensioners on October 5 in the next picket near the house of Alexander Podrabinek together with “Nashi” - members of the “Older Generation” movement in identical scarves were brought by “Nashi” to show how outraged the veterans were by Podrabinek’s article. It is known, however, that some of the pensioners spoke near the journalist’s house not even in defense of veterans, but in support of Putin and Medvedev.
Yabloko has an interesting position: fight the pocket opposition, but not quarrel with the mayor and be friends with friends of friends of the Presidential Administration.
