The environmental prosecutor's office of the Moscow region opened a criminal case in connection with the outbreak of bird flu in the region. The H5N1 bird flu virus identified in the Moscow region is highly pathogenic and potentially fatal to humans, ITAR-TASS reports. At the moment, five cases of bird flu have been recorded: in the Domodedovo, Taldomo, Podolsk and Naro-Fominsk regions and Zvenigorod.
