In Kuzbass on Sunday in the city of Prokopyevsk there was a collapse at the coal mine named after Dzerzhinsky, the press service of the administration of the Kemerovo region reported. "According to preliminary data, four miners are behind the rubble," the source said.
According to him, the collapse occurred at 11.45 local time (07.45 Moscow time). There were 220 people in the mine at that moment. "All of them, except for four, were brought to the surface," the press service said.
The rubble at the mine is being cleared by six branches of the paramilitary mining and rescue unit. A regional headquarters was created, headed by the governor of the Kemerovo region Aman Tuleev.
