White umbrellas "Political Party"
On May 31, a ceremony of presentation of the Politsosvet Prize, the White Prize, was held - after all, it was this color that dominated the cloudy, cool evening in the Park of the Ostankino estate. At the entrance, the guests were distributed white umbrellas, many gathered were dressed up in white clothes, and even the action itself took place under a white tent.
One of the participants joked that everything that was happening was reminiscent of an unauthorized rally. And he made a timid assumption that if a person is five with white umbrellas with the inscription “Politicosvet. Protects his head ”will decide to take a walk along Red Square, they will not be arrested. Bold assumption. And if you have to rain and the umbrellas will have to be opened?
The Polit -Lesvet Prize has existed for the second year. Created by the Liberal Russia Foundation, with the financial support of Dmitry Zimin, it seeks to draw attention to journalists involved in the political education of Russians. Actually, to those publicists, thanks to which many people have matured before participating in mass protests. The jury, and it included the founding father Dmitry Zimin, economists Yevgeny Yasin and Sergey Aleksashenko, journalist Tatyana Malkina, writer Dmitry Bykov, went this year along the path of the top fihur, heavyweights of the mass media. Simple mortals located in the thick of the current struggle were beyond the scope of a long list. This has to be a little sorry, as well as the fact that among the applicants there were no journalists writing on religious topics.
Be that as it may, the finale turned out to be intriguing. The journalists Vladislav Inozemtsev, the regular author of the “Daily Journal” Dmitry Oreshkin, TV presenter Nikolai Svanidze, the author of the statistical analysis of the elections to the State Duma, physicist Sergei Spilkin, political scientist Lilia Shevtsova (also noted on the pages of the “Hedgehog” by a number of publications) fell into the short list. Jury chairman Sergei Aleksashenko admitted that the choice was not easy. Nevertheless, the jury unanimously decided that Sergey Shpilkin will become a laureate in Persona nomination, "the one who has shown so efficiently and effectively to us that our votes stole and the elections are falsified." The winner will receive a cash reward in the amount of 720 thousand rubles and give a series of lectures at Russian universities, the rest of the finalists will be awarded 100 thousand rubles.
Note that the victory of physics is the most uninhabited for publicists. In the end, without them he would have done nothing. No wonder in his speech Sergey Spilkin thanked the finalist Dmitry Oreshkin and many other authors. He also expressed gratitude to the Internet users and observers in the elections, the Voice and Citizen Observer association. The laureate also noted that his work would not have received such fame without the support of the Troitsky Option newspaper. In conclusion, Spilkin said that there were many people who were ready to perceive the number of numbers as an argument, not emotions, and this is very important.
In the GRATA nomination, the magazine was the winner The New Times . The diploma was awarded to the chief editor of the magazine Evgenia Albats. At the same time, a lot of words were said that the journalistic team contributes to the consolidation of the protest mood and shows genuine heroism. Albatz agreed as for consolidation, but she rebelled against heroism. According to her, the journalistic profession implies risks. Journalists are killed and cripple around the world, not only in Russia, but this is not a reason for abandoning honest journalism, from honest journalistic labor. “You can’t participate in meanness,” said The New Times, the editor -in -chief, expressively nodding to the Ostankino TV tower that was visible through the compartments .
At the end of the evening, a buffet was held, arranged by Dmitry Zimin with merchant latitude and reminded the feast of the “dashing 90s”. There was a promising time, right?
