According to Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Russian “trading platforms are clearly inferior to the world’s leading centers and are overly dependent on the mood prevailing in foreign markets.” The head of government is clearly dissatisfied with the fact that “decisions on which securities to sell or buy on the Russian market are made outside of Russia.” He called the situation "uncomfortable."
“These decisions are often made on the basis of criteria that are not related to the real state of both the economy and the enterprises themselves,” ITAR-TASS quotes Putin as saying. “As a result, stock exchange quotes are much lower than the value of their business, and we know of examples when they become lower than the funds actually in their accounts,” the prime minister said. Summarizing, he, as usual, expressed his attitude to this problem without hesitation: “This is some kind of ugly phenomenon and absolutely unfair.”
It is interesting what will happen to the Russian market after this statement by the Prime Minister: will it become ashamed and create conditions for raising stock prices of domestic enterprises or will it continue to basely depend on foreign markets.
