The wife of Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, head of the Inteko company, which conducts business in the field of construction, development and petrochemicals, Elena Baturina, published information about her income and property in the official newspaper of the Moscow government, Tverskaya, 13. As the Kommersant newspaper calculated, Baturina’s income is approximately 1,100 times higher than her husband’s income. Baturina’s total income amounted to more than seven billion rubles.
Of these, she received only more than 15 million as a salary at Inteko. But about 440 million were brought in by development projects. Baturina earned a measly one and a half million from interest on deposits. However, all this is nothing compared to the profit from operations on the sale of securities - it amounted to more than six and a half billion rubles. Against this background, poor Yuri Mikhailovich has only some six million.
In addition, Baturina owns a quarter and a third shares in two Moscow apartments. Luzhkov has only a quarter share in one apartment. Baturina has an agricultural land plot of about three hectares in the Kursk region. In terms of land ownership, Luzhkov still overtook his wife: he has four plots of land in the Kaluga region for running a beekeeping farm with a total area of just over 1.1 million square meters. But Baturina has more cars, as many as six. Luzhkov owns only one car, but with a trailer for transporting beehives.
