On the one hand, it is clear that you exclaim: steal! But after all, on the other hand: since they are changed every year, then they stop theft? Or isn't it at all? Maybe Olympstroy simply does not cope with the epoch -making task?

It was a dominant idea in the liberal environment: we will not have time to build a damn thing in Sochi from the promised by 2014. In the liberal environment, this whole venture is not welcome at all, and on the pages of the “hedgehog” of other fools, except for your humble servant, who would support the idea of ​​holding games in Russia. But I simply supported them, without experiencing religious trepidation before the Olympics and not justifying in advance thefts, cuts, mismanagement and simple stupidity.

But the fact that we will build the objects-in this I did not have a milligram of doubt. For me, it was as obvious as the fact that the sun would always rise in the east. The problem of Sochi is not a problem of mechanical construction of certain building structures. We will build. How we will build similar designs to the Universiade in Kazan and the World Cup. Graphs are respected, stadiums are built. From day to day in Sochi, even the first competitions will be held on the Olympic ski route!

The problem is that the idea may be more important than people. Who thought about people when they built Dneprogez? Who thought about them on the BAM and on the virgin lands? Who thought about nature, which was easily sacrificed?

Everyone who was in Sochi of my friends clearly celebrates two things: construction boils, but at this holiday we are extra. If the miracle magistral is planned to be laid on the project, then the highway is really very good. But the congress from the highway to the secondary path, not mentioned in the Olympic Conduite, is still a dirty primer. A hundred meters from the Olympic infrastructure - all the same houses without sewage.

We want to develop Sochi as an international resort and talk about the need to build available hotels. But in the process of Olympic construction, tourists simply stopped traveling to Sochi. Small homemade hotels who began to appear in Sochi simply will not last until 2014 and close. Yes, they are already closing!

We were promised new jobs in connection with the construction of roads, airports, the same hotels and Olympic arenas. Indeed, thousands were prompted by the people. But who are they? The same migrant workers as in Moscow, St. Petersburg and throughout Russia. From Abkhazia, people are still spinning. That is, cheap rabbi, often doubtful qualifications.

About the relocation of citizens from disputed territories - you can not stutter. It was clear that there would be no completely market compensation. But it was about a general improvement in the living conditions of Sochi. After all, how many sheds and hibar are there! But municipal housing - the project is not very profitable. And the city was already rezed with an elite housing - I would still buy who these apartments.

It’s also sad about the ecology. Let it managed to achieve a change in some objects and even their transfer - all the same, about half a dozen of the arenas have not passed a normal examination and are built by an obvious order. And the flooded mud sources, the cut down ancient groves, the destroyed spawning grounds of fish! And the unprecedentedly changed boundaries of the Caucasian natural reserve! This is no less important than the Olympics. And all this could try to save without canceling the games, but simply doing everything not for the sake of an idea, but humanly.

I still consider it useful for the country to hold the largest sporting events, as well as holding festivals, forums and other representative actions. But the problem is that, conducting them for the sake of the implementation (not to mention the possibility of plunging a pocket at the expense of this), we kill the whole essence. The action will pass. There will be fireworks, there will be pleasant memories. But this will not be the holiday that is always with you. The point is that after the games or the World Cup, there remains the benefits of for many years, and not to spend something with a wild tension of forces for two weeks or a month, and at the end nothing will change.
