The criminal prosecution of Kemerovo blogger Dmitry Solovyov (dimon77.livejournal.com), accused of “inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity” under the notorious Article 282, has been discontinued. The victims of incitement to hatred, according to the investigation, were police officers and the FSB - the reason for bringing charges was Solovyov’s blog posts entitled “Men in Gray Can’t Break “Defense”” (Soloviev is the coordinator of the Kemerovo branch of the “Defense” youth movement), “FSB kills Russian children”, “Communies and the bloody KGB at the same time and now.” As Kommersant reports, a repeated examination carried out at the Russian Forensic Center under the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation and at Tomsk State University did not find in these records clear indications of any group or community, as well as negative images of any social groups.
The seized laptop, computer system unit and two cell phones were returned to Solovyov. He told the newspaper that one should not be afraid to express one's opinion, but should do so responsibly, including online.
