On November 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed six decrees on resignations and appointments for a number of key positions in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Police Colonel General Andrei Novikov has been relieved of his post as Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. Oleg Safonov, who previously held the post of auditor of the Accounts Chamber, was appointed to replace him. Evgeniy Shkolov was appointed head of the Department of Economic Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
