Until recently, Maria Gaidar fought for the destroyed Union of Right Forces party and appealed in court the decision to liquidate it. At the same time, she said about the former leader of the Union of Right Forces Nikita Belykh in connection with his appointment as governor of the Kirov region that this was “an exchange for the Right Cause party,” explaining that he collaborated with the authorities and helped implement this project, for which he received the post. Meanwhile, unlike some of her comrades in the Moscow branch of the Union of Right Forces, she did not take part in the activities of the Solidarity movement.

Now rumors have been confirmed that Maria Gaidar will be appointed as adviser to Governor Belykh on social issues. The Vedomosti newspaper reports from her words that Gaidar has already begun working in the Kirov region on a voluntary basis.
