The "main enemy of all mankind" this week for the opposition was Judge Olga Borovkova. The indignant against the next landing of the left activist Sergei Udaltsov launched an entire campaign against the judge. However, for real changes, such pressure should become a constant background of the power of the authorities.
The face of the opposition protest was temporarily the leader of the Left Front movement Sergei Udaltsov. He was once again imprisoned, not yet letting go of the imprisonment, for ten days. The appeal was to be considered the day before, but transferred to January 7, so the activist should not spend the New Year at home.
And the Antagonist Udaltsova to a degree and the peace came to the world, the peace Olga Borovkova. Borovkova also became a kind of symbol of protest. The case was taken so seriously that the judge even provided guard, fearing for her health.
The judge is young - she is not yet 30. She was born (on this occasion, a separate discussion even unfolded on the Web) in November 1983. In this case, the age is an important factor, since the assistant to the judge, which Borovkov seemed to have occupied higher education since the fall of 2004. And then the young lawyer was then supposed to be 20 years old. In addition, this is the position of a civil servant and it requires a civil service experience for at least two years or legal experience - from four years.
If all this is true, then it is generally not clear how Borovkova could become a judge and judge someone-it was simply not necessary to have the right by law. The law, of course, was drawing, but still to a certain limit.
However, network users, indignant against the arrest of Udaltsov, blame the judge in vain in all.
Non -playing oppositionists have not liked her since last year, when she arrested Boris Nemtsov on New Year's Eve and he spent all the New Year holidays in prison. However, she periodically carried out the verdicts quite blessed for the opposition. The adviser to the chairman of Yabloko Arthur Grokhovsky in July 2010, say, justified, although the police demanded that he condemn. In January 2011, she also acquitted the main defender of the Khimkinsky forest, Yevgeny Chirikov in the case of the organization of a disagreement campaign at the Mosobalali government building.
Sergei Udaltsov himself, it seems, is in no hurry to turn the judge into universal evil. In an interview with Izvestia, he said that he considers Borovkov a victim of the system. “I have no doubt that she sees perfectly what is happening, but for some kind of reasons, she continues to serve this system,” he said.
However, social activists demand almost the blood of the young judge and write on the network, triumphing that it is written on the website of the Moscow City Court, that the Borovkova section is free. In this they see a great victory of the public over the system unfair to enemy.
In fact, neither the elimination of Borovkova, nor even the dismissal of the head of the Moscow City Court Olga Egorova will solve any problems of society.
As the retirement of the head of the Central Election Commission Vladimir Churov will not make the elections honestly. The authorities will simply appoint the next performer to the same post and there is no reason to believe that the new performer will be much better than the previous one. And if you recall that civil control over the authorities until recent elections was something ephemeral both for citizens and the authorities, then the hope that the authorities will immediately change when he sees tens of thousands of protesters in the areas.
“Soldiers of the system” - whether it is the chairmen of precinct election commissions or judges - will simply be afraid to make obviously illegal decisions. And then it will already be possible to expect honest elections and a fair court.
However, this is not two days or months. The executive branch obviously does not want to make the judicial system really independent, because this will significantly limit the freedom of maneuver on fundamental political issues. And this is already beyond the competencies of both the judges of Borovkova and other judges in the Russian Federation. This is already a matter of agreements between citizens and authorities.
In this sense, the “Udaltsov case” can be considered a marker of the process-nevertheless, citizens who do not share and aspiration are actively stood up for a levak-activist. But if such a reaction of a statistically significant number of citizens will not become a constant background of the authorities, little will change.
