They stole a ribbon
There are people about whom they say: no matter what they touch, everything is turned into gold. Or everything is turned into a holiday. And there are other people. Which, having touched anything, turn it into shit. Able to spoil anything! Our rulers have this amazing ability. Everything that they touch is becoming disgusting.
When a action with St. George ribbons was spontaneously born several years ago, it seemed very touching, sincere, in a good way patriotic. Because for me and my family a military theme, victory has never been and will never be on duty, ordinary. I already wrote, including in the "hedgehog" that five went to the front, and only one returned. And I will always remember this. And I always wanted the Victory Day not to be a formal, launched holiday. I understand that the further the Great Patriotic War goes into history, the more sharp faces are erased, the less personal and sincere people are in the experiences of people. This is probably natural. But I want this memory to stay alive for as long as possible.
Therefore, of course, I put on the first time the St. George tape. And he was happy whenever he saw the same people on the street. I saw cars decorated with ribbons. It seemed to me that this symbol was universal, because St. George ribbons could wear not only in Russia, but also in any other country. Because the symbol is not Russian, but general.
He was also happy that then at the state level the action did not receive any special development and it was clear that the ribbons were worn sincerely, as they say, at the call of the heart.
But then, of course, a lot began to change. The authorities saw in the St. George tape a great symbol for demonstrating their powerful "patriotism." And I was not so comfortable. And the comrades told me: why are you wearing this tape - like Putin? And I replied that I wear it not in honor of Putin or someone else from the "these." I have her burden in honor of my grandfather, who returned from the war. And in honor of those four who have not returned from the front. I said that I would separate the country and the victory from power and the state. In the end, they go under the flag of Russian - why, I can’t respect my flag? I said the same thing about our athletes, rooting for them. They play for the country, and not for Putin or the Duma. Putin and Duma are not all of Russia.
And although the action with the St. George ribbons gradually leaving the original meaning, although officialdom quickly obscured sincerity, although almost everything went “from above”, I walked with the St. George ribbon until the last year.
This year I will not.
Because these people turned a symbol of victory into a symbol of enmity, civil war, annexation, an advance on a truly fraternal people, who fought with us with fascism and suffered from fascism no less difficult than us.
They actually did a monstrous thing. They came up with delusional fables about Ukrainian fascists and neo -Nazis and began to fight with this own myth.
In the war, people fought and gave their lives in the battle with fascism of the present. And these make up heroes, fighting with phantoms composed by television propaganda. Supporting with words like "Genocide", "Hatin" ...
What we are doing now in Ukraine is a shame. And they seemed to be the impossible: to turn a touching symbol of a reminder of victory into a symbol of shame. And the attitude to this symbol, I'm afraid it will no longer be impossible to change.
They stole a St. George ribbon from me. Those ribbons that I wore in my previous years carefully lie at home. They are real. And the current "official" are stolen.
