And there will not be a big impression on the persecutors of the disgraced magnate. What do they care about human rights activists?

The question that many observers ask is why this new process? It can be formulated and tougher - why is Putin today? It is clear that everything that concerns Mikhail Khodorkovsky is under his vigilant and complete control. Because Mikhail Khodorkovsky is the main enemy, and the main enemy cannot be released from the field of view for a second. He was taught so much.

The version of Khodorkovsky’s lawyers-a new conviction is necessary to exclude the possibility of parole-does not seem too convincing to me. You might think, Putin is dealing with all these miserable formalities? He is his own master in his country: whoever wants - sweetly, whom he wants - punishes. It is clear that he is not going to mercy on Khodorkovsky. Well, so the so on the edge of the earth in inhuman conditions behind seven castles. But it still won’t work to shoot, and no new court will be able to solve this problem. Then why is it needed, this new farce with another accusations sucked from a finger? Moreover, from the point of view of the nearest political prospect, the resuscitation of “Khodorkovsky’s problems” is not beneficial to Putin in any layouts. If he leaves and puts up an understudy, then why turn the operation “successor” against the backdrop of a loud international scandal, with whom the Chita process is already turning out? A scandal finally undermining the reputation of Russia? To cover the successor, tie it with blood? So they are all tied there anyway - not from the moon he will make us new president ...

And if Putin remains, all the more it is not clear why to society to remind of Khodorkovsky. Sits himself and sits. It is not said today: while Putin is in the Kremlin, Khodorkovsky in prison. This is absolutely not destroyed axiom. And most importantly - does not require new evidence.

In a word, Putin does not need a new process over Khodorkovsky. Moreover, he causes him obvious political damage. And, meanwhile, the process is going on, and we have no doubt that he was initiated personally by Putin. (Unless, of course, Putin is the President of Russia in the sense that he himself endowed this term.)

You know, dear readers, it seems to me that in the case of new accusations against Mikhail Khodorkovsky it is pointless to look for logic or talk about political expediency.
