The Union of Right Forces will today send a complaint to the Constitutional Court in connection with the party's withdrawal from the regional elections held in March in Dagestan, the Pskov and Vologda regions. The court will have to decide whether the norm according to which, in the event of a refusal to register one regional group of deputies, the entire party list is removed from the elections, is consistent with the Constitution. “It turns out that it is enough to put pressure on just one or two candidates from the regional group - either buy them or blackmail them, in order to prevent the entire undesirable party from participating in the elections,” says SPS lawyer Vadim Prokhorov.
