Russian state corporations and government ministers responded to a request from the District of Columbia (USA) court regarding the claim of minority shareholders of YUKOS. They presented a consolidated response on behalf of the Russian Federation, Gazprom, Rosneft and Rosneftegaz corporations, ministers Alexei Kudrin and Viktor Khristenko. The main idea is simple: the US court does not have the right to examine the case of the Russian company YUKOS, moreover, Kudrin and Khristenko are protected by the law on sovereign immunity, so the case is being asked to be closed. Russian officials are not subject to the jurisdiction of an American court.
