 In society Two fronts
The scandalous letter of the bishop of the Anadyr-Chukutsk diomid and four more clergy made some talk about the possibility of a split in the Russian Orthodox Church “such a scale in comparison with which the events in Ukraine and the previous disagreements of the patriarchy with a foreign church.” How, however, everything is quickly forgotten. The exposure of the Lord of Diomid and the comrades almost literally repeat the claims to the Moscow Patriarchate of the radical wing of the Orthodox nationalists, which they present from the very beginning of the 90s. True, there were no bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church among them, but the priests were: Alexy Averyanov, Oleg Stenyaev, etc. Here, for example, “pain points”, which the fundamentalist and anti -Semitic “Orthodox” Rus found in church life ten years ago (I remind you that in relation to this independent patriotic Orthodox newspaper, not part of the church media, in the same 1997. The Holy Synod year has adopted a definition with the threat of canonical Poles addressed to its editor -in -chief Konstantin Dushenov): 1. Participation of the Russian Orthodox Church in the ecumenical movement and membership in the World Council of Churches; 2. Orthodox-Catholic relations; 3. The union prepared behind the back of the church people with heretics-monophysites; 4. Activation in the Russian Orthodox Church of the renovation heresy; 5. Problems of church administration; 6. Canonization of the Martyr King Nicholas II; 7. Church and state relations; 8. Preparation of the Local Council.
The union with the “heretics - monophysites” disappeared, with the “renovationists” they figured out, taking away the temples from them, the martyr king was canonized, the rest of the points was smoothly flowed into the letter of the “mourning”, in a slightly softened interpretation. Instead of the “Orthodox” “Lugitions” Lugitions practiced by the “Rus” “Rus”, they are limited to disagreement “with an official statement on central television about the unity of moral values among Orthodoxy, Judaism, Islam and Catholicism”, and also do not accept the statement that “we have one“ Almighty ”with Jews, Muslims, and other religions and other religions and other religions and other religions and other religions and other religions and other religions and other religions and other religions and other religions teachings ". We, the Russians, have our own Russian God, and there is nothing to be attached to. No wonder the letter was first posted on the website of the Union of the Russian People (SRN), who "in the person of his Black -Hundred departments also considered it necessary to support a worthy bishop." Especially a loud PR campaign was deployed by one of the members of the SRN, publicist Mikhail Nazarov, the initiator of the scandalous “Letter 500” and the singer of National Socialism, which, in his opinion, was the only attempt to confront the “world backstage”. On May 9, published by Nazarov Calendar, not only was not celebrated as a holiday, but is not considered an important milestone in Russian history.
The worthy bishop, however, did not intend to make his appeals at all. According to him, it was “prepared for the book“ Fear is not afraid ”, and it was printed on the site. It was not assumed for the general public. It is for those who are interested in and opposing globalism and perfectly understands what he leads to. ” The bishop of the National radicals was substituted or not, in any case, the letter contains a number of claims to the Moscow Patriarchate, which share not only the fundamentalists subject to all kinds of phobias, but also all the thinking people thinking.
First of all, it is "spiritual agreement (non -sergianism), subordinating the church power of worldly to the detriment of God -given freedom." Recently, the hierarchs of the Moscow Patriarchate are increasingly “playing along” with the secular authorities and in its fight against human rights, which contributed to the coagulation of activities in the country of independent public organizations, and in reluctance to seriously change anything in army life, although information about atrocities in the units now appears almost daily. But Chukchi truth -seekers see the “consonance” of the bishops in a completely different way - all in the same “participation in ecumenism”, which in the future can lead to “the subordination of a church organization to a single world leader”. Meanwhile, the “anti -people policy of existing power” leads “to the collapse of the state, the demographic crisis, and other negative consequences”, reads the letter. Is it really from anti -people's ecumenism we have the collapse of the state and a demographic crisis?
Another claim that every sane person will give a reasonable person is to violate the "principle of collegiality in connection with the long absence of the convening of the local cathedral and the transfer of its most important functions to the Bishop Cathedral." Bishop Diomid gave clarifications on this issue the same “Orthodox Rus'”: “The local cathedral is needed, because, indeed, it turns out that we, bishops, usurped the fullness of power, and the people, he gives us his right: as delegates represent us, but the people themselves do not express their opinion.” Of course, it is pleasant that Vladyka is so suffering from the soul for the people, but the question arises: but in his Chukotka, to which the church authorities, like to the moon, the Bishop Diomid, too, “usurizes the fullness of power” or is building a diocesan life on a cathedral basis? So he would say then how he embodies his ideals in life: how he builds his relationship with priests, what role in his diocese is played by the laity, how they have a freedom of statement, whether xenophobic circulation was discussed with the Chukchi.
The current church charter, of course, is far from the ideals of collegiality, but, perhaps, its main drawback is a complete and undeniable power in the diocese of the ruling bishop. Even the patriarch has very limited opportunities for this power to resist. So if the bishop of Diomid is such a supporter of collegiality - why not conduct business in accordance with his views, showing an example for “usurpators”? However, the Vladyka does not say a word about this. So the thesis of the profanity of the cathedral values is not properly disclosed. And the unpreparedness of the authors of the letter “respect and accept each other, regardless of religious, national and other differences”, only exacerbates suspicions of misunderstanding their conciliar spirit.
In Pure Lane, it was still extremely restrained to react to the appeal, propering a detailed trial for the Holy Synod. The head of the press service of the Patriarchate of the Holy. Vladimir Vigilyansky pushed for violation of intra -church discipline. According to him, the authors of the document had to turn to the “all faithful children of the Russian Church”, but to the Bishop Cathedral, the Holy Synod or to the Primate, who are exciting their questions. Metropolitan Cyril was more harassed, who called the letter a provocation of external forces, the purpose of which was to disrupt the reunification of the Russian foreign church with the Church in the Fatherland. No wonder the appeal appeared on the eve of the signing of the act of canonical communication, it reflected those "protest moods that take place in the extremely radical part of the Russian foreign church," says Vladyka. It is possible, because one of the main defendants in this noisy campaign Mikhail Nazarov is just a member of the ROCZ.
However, in my opinion, to see in this whole story only the intrigues of “external forces” would be excessive complacency. Conservative-nationalist sentiments are quite common both in the Russian Orthodox Church and church bureaucracy have recently played along with them. Nobody has been threatening Konstantin Dushenov for a long time with canonical transformations, on the contrary, the Holy Principles either starts speeches about “Russian civilization”, then gives the order of the Black Hundred Orthodox Horvedes. Thus making advances to the internal nationalist forces that are torn to power. And they use this, at the right time dragging into the light of God the blasting letters of the bishops lost on the edge of the land. Indeed, on the nose we have not only the signing of the act of canonical communication with the foreign church, but also the elections.
