Dvanov. "Bush"

The song "Busstick" was included in the quarantine collection of the Institute of Musical Initiatives , which allocated grants to 22 independent musicians for recording new tracks in home mode. By the end, playing the idea of ​​production at home, the musicians from Dvanov made a clip on it in the conditions of self -isolation - “megacle” video about how the world that we knew before, wild nature conquers back.

We recorded this song for the collection of the Institute of Musical Initiatives "without leaving home." More precisely, we were just in the process of working on a “shrub” and several more songs when they turned to us from them. So just quickly they added all the unprepared, brought and sent.

Almost immediately, the idea was born to create a home -made video for this. Not claiming some aesthetic depths-just such a instant cut. Nevertheless, the times began when the apocalyptic romance of Dvanov began to play with new colors, I wanted to fix it. For a long time, another, professional, clip has been mounted for a long time, but everything at the stage “will be ready when it is ready”. Yes, and there are so many people in the frame that it is scary to watch now.

I shot some pieces on the phone in the studio even before quarantine, not even really thinking that they would go somewhere. But most of the material was made on his own at home. Then they sent me, I mounted. I am not a director at all, so in any case, this is just a megagonizing video. And in many ways the therapeutic thing-the group and I do not see each other for almost a month and do not rehearse because of quarantine, and at least some kind of teamwork.

With the animation, our regular artist Alina Yudina, who decides Dvanov, has greatly helped me all the covers (the most beautiful moments - her). But most of the frames I myself painted the mouse on the computer. A rather stupid process, especially when you do not know how to draw or anim. But here it is - I drew ten frames on a fan, you watch how they move, and pulls it, I want to draw more. So, several hundred were drawn in a few days. It is clear that any real animator would make faster and with fewer crutches.

About the song - I imagined a huge shopping center in the field, already on the road from the city. And what if both the shopping center itself, and the entire infrastructure around them suddenly disappear somewhere, and one field will remain again? Such bringing to the point of absurdity of the end of the utopia of the supermarket. I wrote the text at the beginning of the year, when, of course, there was no talk of any quarantines and ends of our world.

It is very strange to sing about post -apocalypse now, especially considering that we wrote the song even before we found out that the shrub will come soon. On the other hand, it may be good if, instead of a people or city, we will eventually become something else.
