Twenty of forty

I read (through Facebook) an article by Efim Khazanov about Irina Slavina , published in the Trav-Hawk. I read a lot of different materials on this topic in the last days, so I will not repeat the obvious and describe the feelings that any normal person who thinks about a terrible event that happened in Nizhny Novgorod. I just want to comment on one place from the article by Efim - my colleague and in the broad sense (physics) - and in the narrow - member of the July 1 club - where he says that Irina, who is disinterestedly sought to bring the truth to people, was very upset by “ how negligently few people who need this truth. On this occasion, she was especially worried, she was always upset by a small number of people at rallies . ”

That's where the words of the famous customs officer, brilliantly played by the bright memory of Pavel Luspekaev, are more so good for the most welcome: “It’s a shame for the power!” Yes, for the state and for the people inhabiting it. Especially if you look at the closest neighbors. In the west and in the east.

And I remembered that ten years ago I sketched a page on a close topic, inspired by the then popular television talk show ...

The current show was built in the form of a trial: Nikolai Svanidze against Sergei Kurginyan. The latter and now often appears on our prime minister in prime time, for example, at the evenings of Solovyov (i.e., exactly in the specialty!), But Swanidze is not visible (unfortunately). In accordance with the chosen genre of trial, each party brought its witnesses, experts, etc., and the audience throughout the program voted by phone calls for one or another of the opponents. The figures for each were displayed on the screen on an increasing outcome (the participants themselves, of course, were not seen), and at the end Risultato Finale appeared and the winner was declared. Kurginyan brought one of these “processes” the witness, a woman noticeably older than the middle age, which he presented as a specialist in child psychology, professor, and doctor of sciences. The theme of that trial was connected with our very fresh story - perestroika, the recent Soviet past, etc. When this witness received a word, she said that she had long been waiting for our Russian version of the Nuremberg process over ... Gorbachev and Yeltsin.

Think about the fellow citizens: who would you like to judge (and, of course, condemn) this child psychologue? Not the bloody party of Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, Dzerzhinsky, Yezhov, etc. No! She is waiting for the trial over those who brought us out of the stall, who returned to us for three generations of terror forgotten and boots of NKVD investigators a clogged sense of human dignity, sensations of themselves as a person, individuality that has a whole complex of democratic rights and freedoms, and not a screw of a monstrous machine or (as the poet said) in a material for making nails. And here I recall one wonderful place from the works of the famous “journalist, writer”, as he wrote about himself in profiles, the late XIX - early XX centuries of Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov. I can’t vouch for the literality of citation, but I convey the meaning for sure: “ No one dares to reproach a person for being born in slavery and therefore is a slave. But a slave, reveling in its slavery, is a pleasure in its slave state, is worthy of all contempt and disgust Kholi and Ham . ”

Comrade once wrote well. Lenin! I look at the screen, the program barely began, and the score is already 88:12 or even 93: 7 (percent) in favor of Kurginyan, and I say to myself: look, already 7%, already 12% of us normal, free people! Because only twenty years have passed from the forty-laid in the Bible (and it must be borne in mind that during the time of Moses, the average duration of human life was, apparently, two-two and a half shorter than now). And therefore, we still have to wander around our Sinai desert for a very long time, until the last lackey and boor will die out among us.
