I must regret to say that the court's report is not true. I was present at this moment. I was present in court on January 2 at the trial, which was conducted by Judge Olga Borovkova, I was interested in how it would look. Everything happened before my eyes. There really was no chair, and there was no stool. And Nemtsov was not invited to sit down, because there was nowhere to sit. And when one of those present offered to bring a stool from somewhere for Boris Nemtsov to sit down, Judge Borovkova refused: there is no need to bring anything. Another question is that Nemtsov himself, which is natural for a man, said: “Come on, I’ll stand on foot,” and so on. Nemtsov refused the offer to sit down when one of the middle-aged people present in the hall simply offered him his chair. But this proposal did not come from the judge. If there had been a chair, Nemtsov would have sat on it. Because standing for several hours is simply physically uncomfortable even for a strong person.

In general, this whole story with the stool is very funny and amusing. Unfortunately, it completely fits into the style of the process that I observed on January 2.
