What to watch on TV from January 1 to January 5, so that you won’t be ashamed later: good films and TV series from the main channels

TJ continues a series of materials about how to spend the crisis New Year holidays without spending money. This time we looked at the program schedule of all major TV channels from January 1 to 5 and chose films and TV series that you can watch without shame.

While working on the material, we noticed several trends: January 1 is almost entirely devoted to Soviet films, many channels shamelessly broadcast the same thing for several days, nothing was found on NTV and, finally, the number of decent programs is rapidly decreasing every day.

January 1

The absolute superiority of Soviet films, but many TV channels still air relatively recent blockbusters. For example, STS is showing two not-so-bad films from 2013. James Cameron's "Avatar", as is typical for truly popular cinema (with such and such box office), is gradually beginning to be associated with the New Year. However, it's better to find Blu-Ray 3D or at least download it than watch it on TV.

We have no idea why the First remembered the documentary about the magician David Blaine.

January 2

Please note that for some reason the First shows parts of the Ice Age in reverse order, starting with the fourth. Obviously, he arranged them according to the price of the license, but still this is some kind of mockery.

The Italian “Signor Robinson” on Domashny is a miracle. It’s a pity that hardly anyone will get up so early.

The former definitely wins the day because it features Home Alone and Home Alone 2.

January 3

The star hosts the inevitable marathon of Soviet Sherlock Holmes: it is technically very outdated (the Hound of the Baskervilles is almost invisible), but still remains one of the best.

Meanwhile, the First begins to show reruns of the British “Sherlock” with Cumberbatch in the evenings due to the lack of new episodes.

The number of films that can be watched on federal channels is sharply reduced by January 4. REN-TV comes out with a powerful reminder that we have been able to make at least crime films in the last two decades.
