The meeting condemned the approval of the Act of Canonical Communion and announced the termination of the liturgical commemoration of its primate. “We cannot recognize Patriarch Alexy II as the head of the entire Russian Orthodox Church, since he can only be elected as such by the Local Council of the Russian Orthodox Church, which was not convened after 1918. Neither ROCOR nor the MP can independently declare themselves to be the fullness of the Church,” the meeting resolution states. Until the convening of the Council, the dioceses are ready to maintain eucharistic communion with the Russian Orthodox Church without creating a common higher administration.
